My latest ambition in life now is to become a amateur gunsmith. I've been looking at some laser boresighters and, of course I want the best within reason to boresight my rifle optics and pistol laser designator sights and those of my friends. I've narrowed it down to two models. The Wheeler Professional Laser Bore Sighter or the Site-Lite SL-500 boresighter. Both use a green laser which is better to see during the day. The Military uses the Site-Lite SL-500 which goes for about $199. The Wheeler Professional Laser boresighter goes for about $136. I would like to get the opinions of those of you who have used either or both of these product and find out which one would be the better buy, I"m leaning towards the Site-Lite SL-500 which is more expensive but I want quality and the Military using it makes a stronger case but if the Wheeler will do the job then why not save some money. Please give me your thoughts, opinions and suggestions.
