Finally bought a scope for my AR

I went with the Nikon P-223 3-9x40.

Should be here late next week and I can't wait to get it on my gun. I really wanted a smaller scope, but I wanted at least a 9x magnification, so this was the best option in my price range. I think it will be a good scope for the money and since I am just a casual shooter, it should more than suit my purposes.

I have only heard good things about this scope, but please feel free to share your experiences with it. I think I got it for a decent price too, however, I was looking through an older Midway USA mailer earlier and they had it for the same price I paid, but the "P" series mounts ($50) were free with the scope at the time through Midway, so that would have been a better deal. Oh well, lol.

Yeah, Midway offers great blow outs on certain items regularly, you just have to be patient or have lucky timing. It took me a few years to figure it out, by reading up and planning ahead I saved $100 on my scope and another $100 on one of my FF rails.

Very sweet! When I was looking at a scope for my ar-15, it was between the p-223 and the burris fullfield 2. I ended up going the eotech route though so I cant give ya any input lol

I have had mine for a couple of months and love it. Get the ballistic program from Nikon. I have the iPhone version and love it. You can see the ranges at different magnifications with different loads and weather environments. The glass is crystal clear at full magnification. Did I mention that I love mine?
