Spotting scope eyepiece interchangeability question

Does anyone know if spotting scope eyepieces are interchangeable?

Can you take an eyepiece from one manufacturers scope and use it on another?

Kind of like SLR camera lenses, most use a T-Mount that makes them interchangeable between different SLR digital and SLR non-digital cameras.

I'm asking because of a project I am working on. I will need multiple spotting scopes from different manufactures but I want to see if one "specialized" highly technical eyepiece will work on all of them or if I will need multiple adapters for different manufacturers..
