I've been doing some price shopping on some handgun tactical lights to mount on my 327TRR8 for nighttime bedside use. It doesn't have to be name brand nor be bomb-proof, as many of the military/LEO models are. My main concern is size and price. I've already looked at the Insight x2, and priced it at around $100. Similarly I've priced a Glock Tac Light and an Insight Tac Light at around $77 each. Then I saw this at around $38.00. I have never heard of this manufacturer, and the manufacturer's link just leads to a dealer for guns and tactical gear. So I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions or advice. If anyone has used some of the ones I've considered, maybe they might know something about them?
For example, is the Glock Light meant only for Glocks or can it be mounted on any handgun rail? The size and weight are most attractive, particularly because the short length seems a better fit on the far-forward barrel rail of the TRR8; but I would want to be sure it would actually mount correctly.
Failing that, does anyone know a good resource for second hand or used tac-lights?
