    Premier Scopes not being Warrantied

I saw a post on hide saying that primer scopes not purchased through ATI will not be warrantied by Tangent Theta. Roughly 2500 scopes total and 1600 through ATI are going to be honored, but if you didn't go through ATI you're SOL. The majority of the issue was the parallax not functioning properly.

When premiers first came out frank from hide warned us of the issues but a bunch of vendors said that the issue was minor and that only a few were affected. I was foolish enough to buy one of these scopes and I too had the parallax isssue with my scope. I'm seeing more than just a few of these scopes having issues. Premier fixed mine but it took them about 4 months to do so, but I'm thankful they did and they didn't charge me a dime. I would sell my premier but I wouldn't want to screw over anyone in case the scope has further issues.

I also find it funny that a vendor on hide who was a hardcore defender of premier when frank warned us of the issue is now saying that he saw the writing on the wall and sold off his premiers and that you're basically a fool for keeping them. So a vendor realizes that the company he defends to the death, sold off his personal premier scopes to people who are hardworking folks that wanted a nice scope are now stuck with these scopes which may not be warrantied by tangent rather than pointing them towards a nightforce or Schmidt. I find that disgusting. This is why I'm now a fan of vortex, their gen 2 razor may not be as nice as my premier but the company stands by their product and will go out their way to make things right for the customer whether you bought it brand new or from a third party. And the fact that they give us military/prior military guys an awesome discount.

If they fixed it, how would you be screwing over a buyer? Sounds like they went against the hide's claim that they wouldnt warranty anything not purchased throughATI, so im slightly confused....
And while vortex is decent, they arent the only one in the game. Its odd how blindly loyal vortex buyers are, as if they are somehow some magically perfect scope.

Back in 2011 when premier's asset was bought out by tanget theta vendors that were selling premiers said that all premiers would be warrantied for life as they were keeping on premier employees to fix the parallax or any other issue.

But now tangent is saying they're only working on those purchased through ATI. They fixed my scope but the main issue was that the main tube is soft and when you tighten down the rings anymore than 18inch lbs you would damage the parallax assembly causing it to be stuck which if corrected were re epoxied or shaved down. The parallax issue can reoccur if re epoxied and I wouldn't want to sell someone a scope that could have known problems in the future and with no support. In hindsight I should of stuck to a Schmidt and bender as I've had great experiences with them but didn't like the tunnelling at the lower power.

I'm just trying to pass on some info, in case a potential buyer is looking at a premier. I'm not a vortex fan boy but they're customer service is top notch. I personally would love to buy a tangent theta but 4k for a scope with 90s recticle options, I'll pass for now.

My Tangent Theta is baller. The reticle is ok. It works. Maybe look into the Minox ZP5 5-25. It's basically a Premier. Built by the Optronika guys. And the reticle options are nice.
