    AN/PVS-7B NIGHT VISION GOGGLES

    Hi all,

So, I've been doing a lot of calling and searching and I find very mixed answers and hope to find a definitive one.

Are these goggles legal to own or sell in California?

Even if you look on Amazon, they say that the wouldn't sell them to Californians, yet other places say they are legal and some say they are not.

Any input would help, thank you in advance.

Yes, legal to own and sell. IIRC, the law says you can't have a magnified NV optic mounted on your rifle with an illuminator.

But mounting on the rifle is so low speed anyway.

Id recommend sticking with an actual manufacturer of NVG over a seller with 0 product in stock and a shaky future.

Thank you. I called the places, they say it's legal to own to watch the stars, but cannot be on firearms or close to them. Can also not be used for hunting. Weird!

They said it's a very grey area, better to not have firearms close. He didn't give any penal code.

Because its not illegal to have a helmet mounted NVG and a rifle with an ATPIAL-C or DBAL. No, dont go hunt because that is illegal. But target shooting is perfectly legal. Gray area does not apply in this case. It is either legal or it is not, and there is no law that prohibits it
