Has anyone tried the new Truglow TFX Sights?

Just bought my 1st 1911. I am an overall gun novice. I will use the gun for recreation and home defense. I'm 61 and don't see as well as I used to. I am looking for a good overall sight that works in all conditions. This sight has both fiber optics and tritium. My gun is a new SA 1911 stainless "Loaded". Thoughts and recommendations? Thanks!

ok, since no one has made any recommendations I'll throw another option out for consideration: U shaped black rear with 24k gold bead front? Does this work well in most lighting conditions?

I have 2 sets of the TFOs for my carry guns but haven't tried to TFX. For my old eyes, the TFOs are great!

Just bought a set of the Truglo Bright-Site for one of my range guns .. basically same as the TFO without the tritium.

Curious to hear about the TFX .. seems to be just the TFO, just slightly more enclosed. Don't know why the TFX msrp is $50 more than the TFO (for the M&P Shield)

I also use TFO (on an XD-S carry) - very pleased with day and night visibility - would recommend.

The TFX seem to be the newer version of TFO... the more covered enclosure might help protect the fiber optic rods better - but don't know if they have same brightest (since not as much light seems to get to them)

I have TFO on 3 guns, never heard of the TFX. Will have to research those now to see the differences. Here are some TFO on my Shield.

Appreciate everyone's input. Makes this a difficult decision. At this point, and I am in no rush to decide since I still have 9 days before I get my gun, I am thinking U shaped black serrated rear with some sort of bright front sight. Am I on the right track and if so, do you go tritium, fiber, gold bead front? Thanks!
