    Weird 7.62x54r I can't identify.

Got these free with my rifle from LGS.

Threw them into my regular pile of Mosin ammo, and never thought twice...
Was out shooting and noticed I had a lot less fireball/bang and maybe better accuracy. (Maybe.)

Headstamp is nearly invisible... but at edge of rim is a tiny 09, opposite side of rim is 90. or maybe 96.

no primer sealer. bullet and case are a matte/satin bronze with a little bit of a groove at the base of the bullet where it meets the case mouth. No sealer there either. No visible annealing.

headstamp doesnt match anything from http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinAmmoID.htm

The bag was tied with twine.

Probably just some other random light ball, perhaps a different country but likely nothing special. I'd just shoot it like any other surplus 7.62x54. Chances are you may never see any again, or it'll be the next big shipment that comes over.

Looks like regular light ball but who knows, maybe you found some of the good stuff they feed Dragonuvs.
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.
