    M39 recoil pad

What kind of recoil pad would you guys recommend for an M39? I'm a pretty lightweight guy, so even the light ball gets to me after a day's worth of shooting.

Do the limbsavers come in sizes, or is it universal?

I just wear my German mil surplus flak jacket, tends to keep me well padded and the curious onlookers away from my shooting station

I really like the look and the feel of it.

The only Limbsavers that I see at Wally World are the small ones and those seem to fit almost all C&R rifles. It's a very good product and takes the kick right out of the gun. Also it does mar the gun up either.

I've got the velcro version of the same thing:

I bought both a Large and a Medium, but I tend to only use the Medium one.

                The reasons I like it:
-The velcro makes it easy to take on and off and adjust to other guns
-The brown color generally blends in with the gun stock so it doesn't look too obvious
                -It works great.

Just suck it up and shoot it the way it is.

I use a limbsaver slip on on an m38 when I want to throw some serious rounds down range.

just get the slip on as said above. it won't fit perfect but it will stay on and help a bunch with that recoil.

I bought a Beartooth recoil pad a couple years ago but haven't used it in a while. Its another slip-on type pad. I'd recommend just getting a slip on and then building up to a day's worth of shooting.

That 8 lb rifle is still a b**ch to shoot off of a bench!

I have arthritis that flares up on me if I don't use something, so I use a "shooterpad". Gel filled and adjustable for thickness. They work great just don't leave them on the stock when done. They go on and off easy so you can move them to more than one rifle. If it hurts, do something about it. No reason to just put up with the pain. http://www.shooterpads.com/
