    Limbsaver SKS

I came across limbsavers at walmart available in two sizes medium and small. Which will fit a SKS rifle best? Main reason I want one is it ads an inch to the length of the stock. Might make it fit me a bit better.

I'm not sure they call it a limb saver but there is a pad made just for the SKS that adds a inch or so.Google SKS rubber butt pad and you will find them in 1 or 2 inch.

I use these for additional Length of Pull. They are attached with original hardware and stay put unlike the Limbsavers. These don't look Dorky either.

      SKS Rubber Buttpad
SKS Rubber buttpad adds 1" length to the wooden stock SKS. Has cleaning kit hole to access tube type cleaning kit. Easy installation using the same buttplate screws on your rifle now. These have been out of stock for some time, and we are glad to be able to offer these high quality units to you again!

Go on limbsavers website, they have a list and tell you how to measure the stock.

It's probably more for the LOP as SKSs are ridiculously short.

Wait SKSs kick? Are you comparing this to your 10/22 or what?

Yugo M59/66s come with a buttpad. I'm sure you could find one online some place and try it out on yours (I don't see why they wouldn't be able to fit other models). These are nice because they fit perfectly, look clean, and have a hole in the center so you can still utilize the storage area in your butt (haha).

That said, I love my SKSs and couldn't imagine the need for a recoil pad, even if you plan on sending 1k rounds down range in one sitting.

The OP already made it VERY clear that he wants one to increase the LOP and it has nothing to do with recoil or perceived recoil. If you don't understand that proper gun fit is important, maybe you need to learn a little more before sounding off and looking like a fool.

yeah limbsaver is garbage as far as cool points and damn they are pricey.

                        Here, http://www.sksbuttpad.com/

Gives you an extra length and looks like it belongs on the SKS. A lot cheaper too since they are on sale.

Not sure if anyone answered your question, but Limbsaver 10545 (Small/Medium) fits my SKS perfectly and adds about .75" to the LOP. It also fits Mosins, which is what I originally bought it for.
