M38 have really sky rocketed in price lately. Plus no one seems to be selling any. I think the only place to find one is here or on gunbroker or the like. From what i hear they used to be super cheap like 91/30s. Nowadays i think theyre going anywhere from 250 to up over 350

Just looked over there and they have a couple as low as $209 with free shipping. I would jump on one of these.

Might not be a bad idea! I have an M38 in an M38 stock that I love. Many have been refurbed in an M44 stock. They are harder to come by as of late. If you find one at a reasonable price($200 or so) I think you should jump on it. Just my thoughts.

wow i got one from big5 last june for $99 bucks,they mis-took it for a 91/30 and put the tag on it. i made them honor their tag and got a sweet m38 for it...

outstanding. if they're dumb enough to not know the difference, they should have to honor their price. i got mine for $79 back in 2005 from Big5
