And ask the clerks to take all the stock out of the back room, go get the best they have. Don't be shy. Bring a flashlight to check the bore.

Look in the private sales section frequently, there are often for sale MN's there. Bonus is they are already cleaned up and ready to shoot.

(this may have been a hint at new listings in the near future)

I asked her ever so nicely if she would be so kind as to honor the sale price and this lune got pissy with me! She was offended that I would ask and told me that she would fire any manager of her's that she found out was giving out the sale price on a product that was not currently listed as being on sale. I told her that would just mean that he would go somewhere else to get the same price and don't they at least price match. That's when she got really *****y with me and I hung up on her.

I say go to sac and buy from them. I have dealt with several Big 5's and never talked to an asshat like that. I would avoid the Stockton store and Sam at all costs

To put this in perspective I am pretty good at this sort of thing. I was raised by a car salesman and I negotiate contracts for a living. I'm not trying to brag I'm trying to put this situation in perspective.

        Good luck with your search.
I went with a buddy to his local Big5, looking for a shotgun and that manager was pissy, too . . . so I called a manager (I had dealt with often) and he had one of his other managers pick up the shotgun from another store and brought it into his own store, where my buddy went to spend his money.

This manager has been so good to me over the years . . . his offers me sale price on many things, including rifles and ammo because he knows I pay for value and he'd rather price match then to lose the business to someone else. I won't mention his name because I know he would not do it for everyone . . . it's his way to encourage loyalty.

        Good luck with your search
