Whoa Something Maybe Brasso? ate into my bolt handle.

I put a little brasso on the bolt and bolt handle and im pretty sure I wiped it off pretty good.I can't remember if I used Hoppes 9 afterwards.But anyway came back after a few hours and it was all brown and black and looks like it was starting to eat it.

The bottle.I think it was the combination of brasso and hoppe 9 cause i used brasso on it since and no reaction just cleaned off the burnt marks.
