Using small pistol primers on Colt 1851 Navy, etc.

I had another thread with same title except 1858 Remington. But that video was pulled off of Youtube (for violating rules?).

Make percussion caps for medium size Colt and Remington percussion revolvers using small pistol primers. Remy 1858, Colt 1851, 1860, 1861.

For Remingtons, every thing is the same except you don't have to shorten the nipples with a file or dremel tool.

Colt: You have to cut down nipples to 5/32" (about 3.97mm) to make room for cylinder to turn.

    This is the tubing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1D14HF/

(.170 Inside Diameter, .250 outside diameter vinyl aquarium tubing. Be sure it's vinyl not silicone).
cut tubing into tiny tubes 5.5 mm long with sharp exacto knife to make the cuts flush.
Lay primer on table and then shove the 5.5 mm tubes over them. Primers will push higher inside the tube when pushing them on the nipples.

    Title is:
1851 Navy Colt Using Small Pistol primers & Making Your Own Percussion Caps Cap & Ball Black Powder (youtube)

    channel is: J. Beau

Download the video to hardisk with your browser. Because Youtube will probably take it down

Unlike other homemade caps, these work reliably because small pistol primers are reliable.
