Jed shoots black powder in matches where the competition are almost all using smokeless. His videos have shown failures and problems. To have fewer of such he bought a pair of Ruger New Vaqueros in stainless.Black powder cleanup is much easier with stainless (although they look dirtier).
The New Vaquero was created by Ruger in order to have a CASS competition legal revolver (e.g. close enough to original Colts unlike Blackhawks and Old Vaqueros).
Jed did another video recently surprisingly shooting a Gattling Gun (with cylinders to convert to a milder 45 LC caliber for shooting on CASS steel targets). He has another channel where he does Nerf toy guns which can gets kids interested in shooting.
