They make brakes and thread protectors that look like flash hiders.

A little humor and sarcasm to go along with my 2 cents.

Looks like a BCM KAG of which I have a few. I too have thought this on my featureless but good luck getting anything worth being called a vertical grip on that sucker. It's a handstop, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

After three months and with the help of a few of our loyal customers we recently finished our first operational SCAR 16-17 adapter and folder cap prototypes. The feedback on the looks is of course not bad but on ergonomics, functionality, and balance we get an "A".

    Waiting for range reports.

Production kits should be available in about a month or so.

    Que eye candy!!

Thank you for your responses and while I wrote VFG, I meant AFG.

With that being said, is AFG a grey area or illegal.

Thanks again and I value all constructive input!

    Best

"Featureless" means "less any features", or without features. So, is a VFG a "feature"?

The Statute says: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f...5.&lawCode=PENThe Regulations (CCR 5471) say:https://govt.westlaw.com/calregs/Doc...ta=(sc.Default)Not a lot of "grey" in that black and white.
What's your risk tolerance? Back to the regs:No requirement for permanence. But, using a design fix which clearly shows a rapid way to bring the stock back to adjustable is just going to draw attention and conversation. Other less conspicuous solutions exist. Not an endorsement, but here's just one solution. https://www.strikeindustries.com/sho...tock-stop.html

I'm pretty sure VFGs are definitely a NO GO. In fact I dont see how anyone would think that is a grey area at all. I think the grey area is the angled foregrips. I would steer way clear of any kind of foregrip, its completely unnecessary anyway.
