    A question about Romy G ............

    Guys,
totally new to ak...............not very familiar with different kits out there.
I can get a complete parts kit/receiver//maglock/mag for under 400.oo OTD
( includes taxes/fees). The only thing I would need to do is apply Moly Resin over it.
I am already getting MR on monday for my other project.
This is fixed stock with wooden furniture. Bore seem fine.
I am assuming it is a non chrome lined barrel.

Is this a good deal and are romanian ak kits reliable?

Romy's are chrome lined. They are reliable.

Reliability will depend on who assembles it.

At that price - I'd recommend getting a complete rifle.

          Guys, Thanks for the input!
Can I get a romy G for 400.00 OTD or close to it?
Is these a difference between these and what people call wasr?
I wont be putting it together at all.
A certified armorer would , at no cost
to me. To refinish it wont be an additional cost as I ll have MolyResin left over form my other project.( the color is desert tan so I have no idea how it looks on an AK..I can always get gunkote if needed)

You can hardly get kits for $200 anymore (most are $250+ now), NDS receiver is $100ish, the misc + dros + tax + etc is going to be $400+, so $400 is not a bad deal especially if someone that knows what he's doing is building it for you.

Reliability wise, all I can say is I've had no problems with my Romy G w/ NDS3.

In that case - Build one up - It's "personalized" for you.

                Guys, Thanks........
So based on what you are saying, it is a good deal then.
I had been thinking about getting an AK for some time now
but just did not know what kits are good esp. the romy G.
                Thanks Saigon & MNG
