    Good BCG for $100?

Working on my next build. I have been looking around last one i bought was an aim surplus Nitride C158.

This time i am looking at the NiB one for the same price

Is that NiB just the newest TactiCOOL item? or is there a legitimate reason to go that route over the nitride c158 again.

    Thanks for the help.

Didn't look at your first link but yeah the same.

I am not of fan of Nib, I prefer the nitride. I have a wmd nib and to me it does not seem to run as smooth as the nitrides that I have. Probably just me and may have a so so Nib coating on mine.

Take a new nitride bolt and a new anodized upper. Slide them together. Feel that grind. It's there make no mistake. Pull out a nitride bolt after 500 rounds and look at the polished surfaces. The smooth and shiny areas on the carrier just under the gas key and just above the bottom lip. A coating like hard chrome or NiB gives you this smoothness right out of the gate. With a NiB there is not much of a break in procedure. In fact you don't even need much/if any oil on them. With nitride (a coating to prevent rust), you get a rough surface that requires a lot of oil until the wear surfaces are polished.

For easy cleanup I like my spikes NIB, but I don't see any difference in performance against a normal phosphate BCG.

I did these just to see what the NicB was all about. I've shot about 450rds through it. Not much of a testing as I use to do (use to shoot almost every day at the range) but it seems to be pretty good. Easy cleaning thats for sure. Just get a dry towel and wipe off the bcg seem to get most the carbon deposit out.

I believe their also a vendor here on CG.

EDIT: NVM, just looked, their OOS

I run AIM on several builds and they are good to go.

My favorite is the black nitride.

I bought a spare black nitride bolt for my SHTF AR repair kit.
