Have to say that my SKS's are more accurate then my AK

I agree with the SKS being more accurate than an AK. I always take the two and shoot with bags and stuff to see for myself and the SKS is much better. Not to mention the length of the SKS and weight is nice shooting 100 yard accurately.
Even standing the SKS is better but gets heavy

I have spent a lot of time shooting AK and SKS rifles, yes even more than you. I wouldnt comment if I was full of sheit. If you have a beard shave it right now. My opinion caries weight. The AK is more tactical. The AK has a shorter barrel. The sks has a longer barrel. Burn your tactical pants. Dont bother posting if you dont have as much shooting experience as me. Thats my .01. My .01 is worth two of your .02. Sks rifles are more accurate than an AK, but if im shooting an AK and you are shooting SKS the AK will be more accurate.

Had fun with my SKS this weekend.
1/4 silhouette at ~120 yards, way too easy. Was also hitting an 8" plate at the berm which is an additional 60 yards or so. Hard to see though.

IMHO AK's are more accurate, but not by much.
If u get a Yugo AK or a a Yugo SKS, I believe they are more accurate, but once again not by much. (Prolly .25"-.5" MOA difference at 100yrds)

the SKS was manufactured over 30 years by more than a dozen countries, chrome lined V non chrome, pinned V threaded barrel, milled V stamped

then the AK variants.... same thing

in production from 1945 to NOW, in so many countries, and so many variables

some compare some thing like the WASR....to another rifle. not realizing the WASR is a parts guns.

theres apples...and theres oranges

and some other stuff in between

In general though, the rifle with the longer barrel/longer sight radius and milled receiver will be more accurate than one with a shorter sight radius and stamped receiver.
