      I removed the fixed mag BS and I’m installing the original Mag Release and spring... Trying too this is my first run at it anyone ???

        The way it was explained to me was that you have to compress the tabs on the spring with a vice, then bind them with a small zip tie or florists wire. Install the parts, then snip the wire letting the spring decompress. I never tried it though.

          You mean the same way we install stubborn foot peg springs on our motorcycles?

              I did it for a member here, he had taken out the latch and spring and couldnt put it back on with the jjperl shroud bb. it can be done, it took me all of 5 minutes to do it. but it takes patience.

                Gotta have the right tool for the job.

                Check it out:



                If you don't have a small needle nose plier, then use a screw driver or pin punch small enough to fit through the pin hole. Use it to thread through the pin hole with the spring compressed and mag catch attached, then use the pin or your rivet to push out the plier or screw driver.

                  Wouldnt hemostats work? I added them to my weapons kit, they come in handy...

                  Radio shack last time I was there they had them also harbor freight http://search.harborfreight.com/cpis...word=hemostats

                        Why do the right side foot peg springs always seem to be harder to put in than the left? Probably operator error.

                          Hmmm...I'm not sure about Yamahas. On my Husaberg, the chain is on the wrong side so I think my left peg is the hard one

                            ^ This is how you do it. Very simple. Takes me maybe 1 minute. Oh, and use vice grips, that makes it "a little" easier!!
