Anyone know where I can get M&P15 lower and upper from other than gun broker, guns america, etc.? I scratched my idea of the Stag because I plan to shoot more frequently now. I know the Stag could probably handle it, but the M&P15 is only a little more.

So...one can just buy a complete AR and add bullet button and you're legal for CA? All this time I thought I had to assemble one from scratch for it to be legal..

I'd much rather do that than build something as 1) I wouldn't trust the reliability of a firearm I assembled 2) Its much faster

Yes, but YOU can't install the bullet button in that case, gotta make sure either the company shipping it installs it or your ffl has an AW permit and is willing to do it. Or you can get the best of both worlds, order a complete assembled lower and just attach the upper yourself.

I picked up my M&P15 from tenpercent a couple months ago, all CA compliant. I am very happy with it. I didn't get to meet Wes when I went, but Becky was very helpfull with all my questions.

Wes, I noticed on the S&W website that they are starting to offer uppers for sale. The only one they are showing is for the M&P15R chambered in 5.45 x 39mm

Last time I was in Bullseye Range they said they sell M&P 15's. they are up in NorCal so it depends where you are located

So wait, I was just looking at lanworld's m&p 15 stripped lower. They can't ship that to CA, why? Or did I misread?

Ten percent firearms has the M&P15, and they will add a bullet buton for 50$

Has SW taken over MP production yet? I know when they first came out they were just re-badged STAG rifles but SW planned on making them in-house.

For the money I'd consider Noveske.

Lanworldinc has the M&P. They install the Bullet Button for the cost of the BB when you get the whole rifle. My neighbor got one from them.

Also, the Smith M&P is made by the same company that makes the Stag. They are the same quality. I have a Noveske and the Lower Receiver is made by the same company that makes Stag. You can build a better lower yourself by putting a Timney trigger and other quality parts in a Stag. I paid a little more because I did not want the Stag on the side of my black rifle.

If you want a receiver that says M&P on the side Lanworldinc has those too.

Yeah ive heard they were just re-badged STAGs but someone on THR said that S&W is doing more of the production but I dont know if theres any fact in that.
