Well, if you want a .22 and an AK, there is always the WASR-22.

I agree with the guys that say that the SAIGA looks like a plastic BB gun , i mean im sure its accurate and reliable, but dosent fit MY description of an AK-47.,

but this weekend was the first time i shot my SKS , and man o man is ammo expensive! lol every clip was costing me $6 (and i had my eyes closed for about the first 10-15 rounds lol! , first time shooting a rifle) but you gotta pay to play. I came to the realization that sks's and ak's are really ment to shoot the **** i mean they are accurate enough at 50 yards heck im positive its accturate at 75 maybe 100 yards but it gets expensive fast! all in all i think my second weapon will be a 22. marlin or another 22. rifle lol THEN il be looking for my WASR plus at the moment i dont think any vendor is getting supplies from romania soon
You think its expensive now!?!? just wait till you move on to something other than 7.62x39.

Try .50 BMG, now that's expensive.

I'm sure it's been posted here before but I just came across this on another forum and died laughing!

                Century "Gunsmith"

I'm been looking into an AK variant myself and am considering a WASR. Like everyone else, I have read all the WASR/Century horror stories and that convinced me to spend a bit more on something better but now I found Henderson Defense and am wondering if anyone owns one of their "Certified" WASRs?

                I like their Shorty Carbine:

I also see that they have a nice looking .223. Anyone have one of these?

Seems like a good deal considering they correct most of the common issues. I read some positive comments about their AK101 from some calgunners so I would think they would be better than your average wasr

Wolf, Golden Tiger, and all other dirty commie ammo was made for SKSs and AKs.

The problems you run into is using Wolf in an out of spec AR (Low end rifles saving $$$ by not chrome lining the chamber, or high end/match tight rifles designed for match ammo)

If you're set on the WASR just make sure to do your research so you know what to look out for and avoid the trouble guns.

When it comes to guns, I don't trust Romanians.
