I would buy a Matthews Carbine Company 80%
I would buy a Matthews Carbine Company 80%. I just bought 2 of them (shipped out and to my house within 3 days) and have to say they are the best on the market right now. go check them out www.mccfirearms.com -
I thought about one but the website is incomplete and RifleGear's product description in inconsistant. The are marketed as both a billet and forged lower. Too much uncertainty for my money. I'll wait for another TMComment

Agree with all the responses. Also I was just checking em out the other day and I must say, the logo looks like it was made by a little kid.Comment

What about AR15Plus? I have two of their 80% lowers and one upper, they seem perfectly acceptable to me, and the price is right.
No government deprives its citizens of rights without asserting that its actions are "reasonable" and "necessary" for high-sounding reasons such as "public safety."
A right that can be regulated is no right at all, only a temporary privilege dependent upon the good will of the very government
officials that such right is designed to constrain.Comment

How did the SA finish out?Comment

I only use Stealth Arms 80% lowers.
Fit and finish is of the highest quality i have come across. The best thing (if using a drill press) is the rear pocket area where the upper attaches to the lower come pre-machined for you. Anyone who's drilled one knows how tight of an area there is between that pocket and the hole for the rear take-down pin detente is. Now you don't have to worry about it cause its already done for you. I have purchased 4 80% lowers from them and drilled out three of them using a harbor freight drill press. I will admit there is much to be desired in regards to there jigs but for the cost you cant go wrong you just have to GO SLOW and take your time. Or if you plan on drilling a few of them just buy a different NICE jig but you will no be disappointed by the quality of the lower.`oh and there customer service is shockingly good. On one of the lowers I received as a kit the jig & supplied drill bits somehow became loose during shipping and nicked up the lower pretty good. I had call merely just to inform them that it happened (not mad at all) and they sent me another one no charge just sent it. I gave the nicked one to my buddy hehe and kept the good one. Overall good company i imho.Comment

I just ordered a lower & jig set from FPS Products. Matt works here too. They are affiliated. Spoke to him on the phone at 937-489-8635. I did a Google search and see that the business is a 2 story brown building. It cost me UPS $12.66. Cost to get JIG & Lower $172.65. I called him at 5:45pm California time. I live in Fresno. They are a new company, hence the low price. I almost bought a Polymer Lower from EP Lowers for $100.00 & Shipping. However, metal sounds better than plastic or polymer...LOL. Anyway, will do box opening too and vid. Gonna use a Harbor Freight 12 speed drill press. I also build AK74 by bending flats into lowers. I intend to have a dedicated upper in 5.45x39 & 22LR & 5.56. I see that Matt is selling targets that BLOW up when you hit with high velocity rounds. I told Matt he will be so busy once word get's out about how CHEAP he is selling product for. I also suggested he sell AK 74 flats and bending die's like the ones from Toth Tooling & AK-Builder.
I love the AR platform, just not the cost of ammo. So far I have all my bases covered. Well, I will once I also get a 7.62x51 (.308) upper and 7.62x39 upper too. Heck then all I need to do is figure out how to carry it all while running away from ZOMM-BEEESS! LMAO! NOT!Comment

you dont have to wait.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

I liked the idea of EP Lowers being solid color- not coated. They can get scuffed and dinged, and the fish is not removed. I liked it so much, I bought (into) the company. Not really, just became the Northern CA Distributor.I just ordered a lower & jig set from FPS Products. Matt works here too. They are affiliated. Spoke to him on the phone at 937-489-8635.
