    They're finally DONE! AR308 and spotter's SDM-R

    Mine are finally done!

    The relevant guts:

Barrel: Black Hole Weaponry SS Polygonal Rifled 20" standard profile (308), White Oak Armament 20" SDM-R Fluted SS barrel (5.56)
Receivers: JD Machine billet matched set (308), JD Machine USMC Lower and DPMS Tri Rail Upper (5.56. The lower should be Army or something else, but all I have on hand is a USMC)
    Triggers: Geissele SSA-E (both)
Muzzle Brake: JP Large Frame Tactical Compensator (308), YHM Phantom (5.56, pending replacement. Maybe Surefire?)
    Stocks: Magpul PRS (both)
Optics: Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP MRAD (308), Trijicon TA11F (5.56)

The .308 is for me. The SDM-R is a spotter's rifle for my wife.

Nice! If you don't mind how much did the build(s) cost you?

Retail is $3,578. I got some of the parts at great prices, and I sold some parts to fund others. Traded an ACOG +$300 IIRC for the rifle with a UBR and 16" DPMS AP4 barrel. Sold the barrel and stock, bought the barrel/brake/trigger/stock/bipod/optic/mount.

I'm out of RVGs. I use a forward grip as a way to index my hand, so yes, putting an AFG backwards works for me.

Great job GP. Your a braver man than me for posting the costs. I don't even want to be reminded about how much my AR10 cost to build.

                            Thanks for the pictures.

Yeah my Ma-Ten cost a damn fortune. I hate thinking about it but when I shoot it I don't care the cost.
