    service rifle trigger?

I am in the process of building a AR15 service rifle for High Power matches. What trigger do most people use? I know the trigger needs to be 4.5Lbs. Also what sling do most people use leather or nylon?
I have a WOA upper on order I just need some help with rest of the set up

I (like many) use the Geissele trigger. You can get it from WOP, Creedmoor, etc.

I also prefer a leather sling. I've been partial to Ron Brown slings through Creedmoor. Not cheap, but has lasted many years with no problems.

American Trigger AR-15 Gold Trigger. By far the best trigger I have used. It cost more than most, but you will never look back.

thanks, those Geissele triggers are serious money I have guns that are cheaper The sling looks good. Is there anything else I should get that is needed for the gun. I was looking at the brass deflectors but not sure since I am left handed.

I had an incident where the deflector bounced a case back into the chamber causing an alibi string during a regional match. One malfunction is one too many, the deflector got deep-sixed.

Check out the RRA NM 2 stage. Very nice trigger for the money.

I shoot left, just use it as is, no problem. The only other thing for the gun you will need is a good load. Here's a linky for you:

My friend recommended the RRA trigger to me, but when I went to the RRA site it says it's on indefinite backorder.

russ69 thanks for the link it helped fill in the blanks. I have quiet awhile to wait for my upper to get here so I can gather parts as I find them.

+1 on the RRA NM 2stage. I was very surprised at how nice it is when I first tried it out. I hear everyone ranting and raving about their Giessle but I doubt they can be $120 or$140 better than a RRA. I also don't see how they can justify the price since mechanically they look very similar. I have been using my RRA NM trigger in highpower competion for 3-4 years now and I am still very happy with it. I don't think a different or better trigger will change my score.

The RRA trigger is a good alternative and I vote for turner saddlery national match leather sling
