Hi this is just a quick update to a post i made awhile back about my ruger sr556 not being able to shoot/cycle steel case ammo . How the round got stuck in the barrel and extractor ripped the lip of the round off. Well i have about 2000 rounds through it now . Went out to Lytle creek last saturday and my friend asked me if i wanted to try some wpa (wolf) new name i think steel case ammo he got at the gun show . I hesitated and said what the hell set gas setting on 3 and ran a li'l over 100 rounds through with out a problem ?Was thinking the first time i tried the gun was almost brand new and not broken in . Now its flawless .
