Hey guys, I have a Sako AV in 300 Win Mag. Its more accurate than I am, but its too damn heavy to lug around . Im planning a big horn sheep hunt , and i want to use my Sako. But i want to make it lighter. I researched that the shortest i can get the barrel is 22" without a significant loss in ballistics.
Will shortening and fluting barrel make my rifle light enough to carry around in the mountains, and will it be worth the price of the process?
Thank You
