Judge Dredd and Afghanistan (aka XM-25)

The hi-tech rifle - almost a portable artillery piece - is said to have been dubbed "the Punisher" by soldiers who have used it.

I don't know if this represents the quantum leap in weapons the article makes it sound like, or if its just the confluence of existing technology but I'm pretty sure the XM-25 will never be CA legal, even with a bullet button.

This is a Heckler & Koch weapon and has been out for a while. The rounds cost $25 each. Ouch!
