Help with 308 Buffer & Spring

Searched, but no luck so far...

    Build:
    CMMG MK-8 Lower (G3 Mags)
    Magpul AR-10 PRS
    Mid-length 308 Upper (Generic 18" from Riflegear)

So I threw in a AR-10 rifle-length buffer spring and {incorrectly} threw in an AR-15 Rifle buffer. Needless to say, it was too big (and probably not enough weight anyways) and the bolt wouldn't clear the magazine. I threw in a standard carbine buffer (until I get a heavier, shorter buffer) to test the length. The bolt clears the magazine but still pretty tough to pull back.

Just for the heck of it, I decided to throw in an ar-15 carbine spring and it was obviously too short and didn't fit the bill.

Should I go with a DPMS 308 Buffer or H3 Buffer and a 308 Carbine spring (since it is very, very tight pulling the charging handle back with the ar-15 carbine buffer and 308 rifle buffer spring)? Or just leave the rifle-length 308 spring and hope it loosens up? Or...

    Thanks!

PRS is a rifle length tube, so....

DPMS 308 "rifle" spring and buffer is what you want.

You are correct that the 223 rifle buffer is slightly too long. Yes, the spring is beefy...so's the cartridge :-)
