    wildcat ar15

Just curious, has anyone built a wildcat ar15 on here? I was thinking 6mm-06 would be fun with a longer stainless barrel. Kind of useless I know, but it would sure be fun to nail a coyote with 4,000 fps 58 grain loads from an AR. I was guessing I could snag a 30-06 or .270 upper I saw online and have a smith set me up with a .243 barrel. Doable? (complete waste of time?)

With time and money, all things are possible.

That said, most just get a bolt gun and are happy.

The path is yours, Grumpy. (And how the hell has that handle not been taken before!?)

No way you will get a long action round in to even a AR-10 receiver. If you want an AR style rifle its going to have to be built from the ground up because nothing will feed rounds that long with the exception of the 243
