Looks like an awesome system, the Reach System is a really good idea. The hexagons look cool too. I hope they can keep up with demand.

Is the carbon fiber and stainless match barrel much lighter?

Nice rifle... Just hope it wont be 3X the price due to the special barrel.

The bbl is expensive BUT IIRC it comes with a 1/2 MOA guaruntee and it dissipates heat better than regular barrels and is obviously much lighter.

I wish there were videos on the REACH as well, or even more pictures. It seems there are at least 2 REACH charging handle types

Will this gun handle 308 winchester loads or just lower pressure Nato loadings?

Im assuming it should handle 308 win handloads with no problem. IIRC even most/all 7.62 marked guns will take .308 with no problems, unless they are super old or something. I could be wrong.

For a question like that, I have to give a legalese answer:

Ammunition that exceeds SAAMI specs of a particular chambering should never be used. Use of such ammo can result in damage to the firearm and bodily injury. It will also void the warranty.

Have I ever personally used .308 in these rifles as well as other military style rifles chambered for 7.62 nato? All the time. But thats my individual decision, not an endorsement of such practices.

Man this is one sweet rifle!

Love the carbon fiber barrel and the REACH idea. I bet the REACH could be worked with optics above if you apply a little bit more elbow grease.

There is a good link about the .308 and 7.62 ammo being used in each others chambers. I wished I still had it but since the reformat it has been lost ever since.

Riflegear shows this disclaimer for Noveske N6,

The upper fits Noveske N6 or Armalite AR-10 lowers.

This rifle is designed and intended for use with high quality 7.62x51 NATO ammunition. Some commercial .308 ammunition may not function through this rifle based on improper projectile design for a semi auto or the lack of a staked primer.

I was thinking of a handload that duplicates 168g FGMM rather than the 147gr FMJ Nato load.

Reply to bold type in quote: One of the down sides of the traditional rear mounted T- charging handle thats been on AR's for the past 50 years is that it does interfere with most magnifying optics, hence the large after market of extended charging handle latches. To cycle the action, one must also break cheek weld and drop the optic off target.

REACH alleviates this problem. To cycle the action requires only a slight 30 deg. movement of the forward hand. The folding charging handle*, when extended gives ample clearance to most objectives on the market. Most importantly, the shooters sight picture remains on target. Its a fast, simple system and it is hard to go back to the traditional T-handle after using it.

*different styles of bolt on handles will be available shortly, including an oversize fixed "knob".
