            Very nice, congratulations!

The 10-day wait on my 700 5R ends on Friday. I can't wait to be in the same position as you, instead of spending all my time drooling over pictures like yours.

              Nice

I get my SPS Varmint next Friday and I can't wait! I have a Badger mount ordered. I have to deal with extra high rings since I'm using the Falcon Menace off my bull barrel AR(getting smaller scope for it) until I can save up enough for some shorter Badger rings.

                What's your setup on that?

I'm getting a 5r off the ten-day penalty in a few days and need optics, mount, rings. I've got some ideas but what've you got? Are you happy with it?

Thanks, all! I'm itching to get to the range, for sure!

Masteryong...Running a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 PA, EGW scope base (O MOA), TIS sling, Burris Xtr Med rings (tried for low, but not enough to clear the bolt movement) and the Harris bi pod will be the 6"-9".

JDMIS300....first impressions are VERY nice trigger (crisp with NO creep), great balance on the rifle overall and if I just didn't come off a 2 week vacation.....i'd be "sick" at the range right now!

BTW...the Vortex Viper is really really nice!

I'll give a range report soon

Once (and if I get past 500 yrds) I'll go with a 15 or 20.

Stan....did I hose myself in any way with a 0 MOA, if I'm going up to 500yds and have a max adjust of 68 on elevation? I believe I can go out further than 500 with 0 MOA at any rate? (pending skill)

                            Thanks!

Yup, I like it on my Savage 12FVSS also. Great scope for the price. Order from liberty optics with free shipping and calguns discount.

I was able to make torso hits out to 1000 yards over the weekend when I took the long range shooting clinic in Sacramento. I'm running 30mm Burris Zee rings with +10moa inserts though. At 1000 yards, I needed to dial in about 36 moa. Keep in mind I was shooting 75 grained .223's, so even more of a challenge. The long 26" Savage barrel helped to squeeze out all the velocity I needed to make it out to 1K yards without going subsonic I believe.

You'll be fine with the 0 MOA until probably out to 600 yards.
