So I came across a selection of old Finnish ww2 German helmets that are being sold and I want to pick one up for myself. According to the website they have some scrubbed or early 50s m40s helmets and the Hungarian m38 counter parts which have the clip on the back of the helmet for easy carry. Since the m38s were copies, does anyone know if the metal work or the quality was cheaper?
Because the Hungarians were allies it would be obvious the Germans would have well suited their neighbor. But I am keeping in mind that the Germans hated everyone. The Hungarian helmets are about 40 dollars more expensive but I would also would like one for SHTF so which one is better?
(and yes I know there are better options but the dam helmets are cool)
