Dad or Mom who reside out of state, can purchase the rifle for you out of state. You remove the pistol grip out of state making the AK featureless. Then you fill out the CA interoperation of law Dad/Mom giving the rifle to you and send to DOJ with $19 to register the family transfer.

Doing this would violate Federal laws that have been in affect for the last 48 years. [18 USC 922 (a)(3)(&(5)]
It would also document the fact that the OP and the OP's parent committed Federal felonies.

In order to legally transfer the firearm, it must be transferred through a CA FFL dealer.

1. Firearm needs to be CA legal and can not include any large capacity magazines.
2. Parent ships the firearm to CA FFL dealer.
3. CA FFL dealer transfers (4473/DROS/10 day wait) the firearm to OP.
