Colt SP1 upper value?

My neighbor came over and said he was cleaning out the rafters in the garage and found an SP1 upper, 14.5" with a perm atached flash hider to make it 17" no bolt, carrier or charging handle, also missing the dust cover. Asked me to put a value on it so he can sell it. Sure I could offer him $50 but I gotta live with myself. Any ideas on the valuation of this baby? Also where would he or I find the original parts to make it complete? thanks guys

Ha, more than 250 if its in good shape. They go for twice that on gunbroker occasionally. Figure five hundred, minus one thirty for the BCG and fifty for the stock/dust cover and pistol grip. Four hundred sounds fair IF its in excellent condition. I'd drop a bit since you're my neighbor and a bit more if its not in near-perfect shape. So hell, maybe 250 isn't such a drastic lowball...

I think one went for $350 a while ago here on Calguns, and I think that was with BCG.
