I just picked up a few boxes of Federal Fusion MSR .223. I've bought these rounds in the past, and noticed these new cartridges appear to be different. First off, these new rounds do not appear to have an annealed case. Second, there is no visible primer sealant, and there is no "AR" stamped on the primer. Finally, the new rounds appear to have a blue sealant around the case neck, which my older rounds do not.
I was just wondering if anyone has a newer box of Fusion MSR that looks like what I described? Did Federal make changes to the MSR line recently? This stuff looks like it might be regular Fusion not the MSR. Both the old rounds that I'm comparing to and the new ones came out of MSR marked boxes and have 2014 head stamps. Since I couldn't find any info online, I thought I'd check here before I give Federals customer service a ring tomorrow.
