I wouldn't buy **** from them. My best friend bought a WW LR-308 upper. The take down pin holes were way out of spec, and the upper portion where the magazine seated into, was out of alignment with every lower we put it on, including my Bushy lower. WW was contacted via e-mail and phone and they either didn't respond (e-mail) or never called back (phone messages). We swapped out his upper with an Aero Precision upper receiver, and it worked like a champ. POS company in my book.

The bushmaster carbon fiber filled plastic receivers had a larger thread diameter where the barrel nut attaches the barrel to the reciever.
This was probably done because the earlier ones with standard sized threads were breaking.
I expect the windham ones to be the same which would mean you can not put an aftermarket handguard system on it if you have the carbon reinforced plastic upper receiver.

Apparently Windham knows this, because if you look closely at their carbon composite receiver, in detail, its shape is not the same as the vanilla aluminum receivers.

The point I was making is that the barrel nut threads are non-standard due to the heavier construction to suit the alternative material.
You can not install an aftermarket handguard system which has it's own barrel nut.

I was looking at their uppers the other day, noticed they had a2 front sight bases on flat top uppers. Not the end of the world but thought it was odd these days. What reviews I found online were pretty positive though.

I'm no metallurgy expert, but I don't see any point whatsoever in buying an AR with a polymer or carbon fiber stock unless it was dramatically cheaper. And even then, I'd just wait until I could afford the standard aluminum.

Here is a pic of my Windham AR. It has been utterly dependable and is a "go-to" rifle for me.

And after being made "featureless": Pinned stock, grip fin, and muzzle brake added.

                  Okay, so ...

                  It's not "Wyndham."

                  It's not "Whindam."

                  It's Windham.

And I want one. Because I'm from Windham, Maine. I grew up about five minutes from the factory there. I'd really love to mate a lower from Windham, Maine with my PSA upper to match me: I was raised in Windham and finished in South Carolina, so it would seem only fitting.
