Vepr 7.62x54R 23" Velocity?

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has some experience with using a chronograph with their Vepr rifle in 7.62x54R? I have the 23" barrel and a nice scope, but my dials are for .223. I'm looking into getting some new dials but don't own a chronograph and can't seem to find the info already online. Maybe someone here knows? I like to shoot my cheap surplus ammo (specs: http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinAmmo025.htm). I'm not sure if the velocity is much different or not from the velocities they measured using bolt action rifles. Thanks for the help!

Since 91/30 has a 29" barrel and a M44 has a 20" barrel. I would suggest looking at M44 data. Just a SWAG, but the Vepr tapping a bit of gas would likely negate the extra 3" of barrel.

My PSL was 2650fps with most ball ammo. Steel cased 54R is not a hot load.
