Performance Difference Between Golden Boy 17HMR and 20" Octagonal 17HMR?

Hello you lever experts. I am trying to find out if there is an actual performance difference in the action of a Henry Golden Boy versus the Henry 20" octagonal Frontier both in 17HMR. Is the Golden Boy just a cosmetic thing or does the action actually work 'smoother' than the other models? Any help greatly appreciated.
