That is BA! Would you mind sharing details on how you did that? I would really like to do that for my Mosin as well now.

Ok. Step by step.
I took the action out of the stock, removed the original Mosin Magazine.
I put the Archangel magazine where it needed to sit on the action then traced it with a sharpie.
I reattached the bottom metal to the Mosin action.
I transferred the marks on the action to the bottom metal.
I put the stock back on the rifle and then transferred the marks on the bottom metal to the stock.
I removed the stock from the rifle and I placed the Archangel magazine between the marks on the stock, I then traced the magazine with a sharpie where I needed to open the mag well.
I removed the bottom metal from the rifle.
I cut the bottom metal into two pieces where the receiver bolts through the stock to the front and rear of the bottom metal.
I then re attached the trigger portion of the bottom metal to the Mosin action.
I placed the Archangel magazine along side the trigger guard and marked where the catch tab is on the magazine.
I ground a notch in the trigger guard portion corresponding to the tab on the back of the Archangel mag.
The notched trigger guard holds the magazine in place.
I used a Fein saw and a Dremel to remove the wood where the new wider magazine needed to go.
I reassembled the rifle.
Note.
The magazine has a wire that is used to retain the cartridges when it is not inserted into the archangel stock, I'm making it a fixed mag for now so I don't need it, I took it off.
I had to remove a small amount of material near the interrupter on the magazine and on the follower where it was rubbing.
I found the mag will hold 11 rounds unless some of the space in the mag is filled in.
I riveted the floor plate in place to avoid being hassled in the future.Last edited by UberPatriot; 03-15-2014, 9:24 PM.Location: Olympic Peninsula Washington

I swear the ingenuity of people like you is amazing. I love it.

Aha, it works! Cool stuff!
My one question; are you wearing glasses and have goggles on your forehead?
Because if you do you may want to see your doctor, there aren't supposed to be eyes up there
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.
