Best barrel contour for 300 NM?

Building a 300 NM rifle for LR and looking at the options with MPA they list a variety of barrel contours. Im going with a 27" barrel. Any one know what would be my best contour choice?

Are you ever going to shoot it without a front rest/bipod?

I think they come standard with a M24 contour?
If your use is bench only go as heavy as will fit the gun. This reduces recoil and helps cool the barrel which just means longer strings of fire before losing accuracy.

If it's PRS I will leave that to those who shoot PRS.

If it's hunting and general plinking and you mention a heavy barrel on CalGuns they will ban you for a week because everyone here hunts 15 miles uphill both directions and no gun can weigh over 6 pounds ever.

In the real world most hunting rifles get shot more at the range than they do while hunting but this is CalGuns.
I will send you a private message.

On my 300 NM, I went with a 31" Heavy Varmint (Bartlein)
cut to 28". Heaviest option at the time while keeping 1.25" shank dia. Has worked very well.

                  Why so short?
Go 30" long heavy palma or heavy varmint.
Extra length gives you free velocity and the extra weight reduces recoil on a big magnum.
