    Any Thompson Center Contender Fans?

Thought I would throw up a Picture of my Thompson Center Contenders.

Any other Enthusiats out there? Throw up a picture, and list what calibers barrels you have!

    Calibers:

    .22lr

    .22Mag

    .22Hornet

    .222

    .223

    .35Rem

    .357mag

    .44Mag

Down the road I'm looking to pick up .45win Mag, and 45-70 Barrels.

I have half a dozen frames between OG contenders, encores and G2 contenders.
I have a couple dozen barrels.
I made the first website for the Thompson Center Association.

How awesome!! I knew there had to be some enthusiasts on here!

I have several Encores as well, Blued, Stainless, Pro Hunters Etc

I have had several more Contenders as well, but decided to sell them and stick with these two. Having the Break-Easy Mod above the trigger makes it much easier to break open, and quieter when hunting as well.

I had a 14 inch .223. It was first gen and kind of a pain to use. I sold it planning to get a 2nd gen to replace it, but never did.

There was a local guy that did gun shows that made any kind of barrel you could think of, and dozens that you couldn't. All kinds of crazy wildcats I never heard of.

Have a few, in rifle and handgun form. Match Grade Machine is the company I go to for barrels. In handgun I've got the usual 223, 30.30 types but also 350 Rem Mag, 375 JDJ and H & H, 405 Winchester, 8mm Mauser. For rifles I'm starting to lean toward the 6mm and 25 calibers. Years ago I got a 6mm PPC during one of T/Cs "parking lot" sales of barrels they'd tried out. It and a 25.35 WCF have worked out really well.

I'd like to get a handgun barrel in 458 SOCOM, but the rebated rim seems to be an issue.

Just do it with a non-rebated case, or even a rimmed case if an appropriately dimensioned brass can be sourced.

I have a 300x221 rimmed barrel from Bulberry from about 20 years ago.
I use 360 DW brass to form it.
The 360 DW brass is less work than shortening 357 max brass.

Sweet! I have the .460 Katahdin, and my dad has the 45-70!

I was stunned at how accurate the .460s&w was even just the Stock Williams Peep-Sight?

Haven't had mine out in many many years. Used to regularly shoot metallic silhouette matches with it.

Have a friend that has a 375JDJ barrel on his contender. Have had opportunity to shoot it; talk about tack driver! That thing will print 2" groups from the bench at 200 yards all day long

we were shooting a few years back in a prairie dog town in N Wyoming. Took a few prairie dogs in the 200-250 yard range.

He has taken a number of Wyoming elk and deer with it.

If I had a contender, and only one barrel, 375JDJ would be it...

I've got the original flat lug Contender. It's a little bit harder to find barrels that fit but they pop up on ebay from time to time. Great trigger!

I had a buddy with a 223 in a 14" bbl and a 4x scope. It was more accurate that I could ever be.

                              Ones to pick up:
410/45Colt barrel. (Not really available in CA). But fun to shoot.
                              300 whisper (or 300 blackout)
Anything with JDJ attached to it. Some of the people above mentioned a 7x30JDJ and 375JDH.
