    Sig-Sauer P320 X-Change Kits

For those who are lucky enough to have scored a Sig-Sauer P320 (any flavor), the best/cheapest place to get an X-Change Kit, to change the size (Full-Size, Carry, Compact, and Subcompact) or caliber (9mm, .40 Auto, .357 Sig, and soon .45 Auto), is direct from Sig-Sauer, believe it or not. These kits retail for $302, and if you register your pistol with Sig-Sauer, for warranty purposes, you will receive a 20% off coupon that will bring the price to $241.60 (free shipping). Magazines, which become $36.80 after the discount, also qualify (contrary to what the registration confirmation page states). Don't forget about P320 grip modules (Medium is standard for all pistols and X-Change Kits, but Small and Large are available), which are also $36.80 after the discount.

BTW, these X-Change Kits are a steal, even at full retail ($302). You receive a grip module (Medium size), magazine, recoil assembly, barrel, and a complete slide assembly that has SIGLITE night sights installed. Sig-Sauer barrels normally sell for $200 a pop, and the grip module and magazine are about $50 a pop ($46 to be exact), so you basically getting a complete slide assembly with night sights for free.

And, if the X-Change Kit that you want is not available yet, you should be able to order with the discount, and it will ship when it becomes available.

My first X-Change Kit, to convert my P320 Compact 9mm into .357 Sig, arrived earlier this week. (For the sake of expediency, it was first shipped to South Dakota where its 13-round magazine was pulled prior to having it forwarded to me in California.)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking forward to a .45FS this summer. I have a compact in 9mm now.

My plan is to pick up a 9mm FS and subcompact too.

BTW lunde, are you from South Dakota? I'm from Rapid City. Lol

I'm originally from Wisconsin, and moved to California in mid-1991. My parents retired to South Dakota a little over 10 years ago. They're not far from Rapid City (my favorite restaurant in Rapid City is Firehouse Brewing Company).

          Haha cool!

I hope to move back someday. I think I have been to that place too!

Sig will not send standard capacity kits to CA. Some of the P250 kits have 10 round mags that Sig will send to CA. I assume once production of P320 kits are in full swing, they will have that option for CA .

Cool, thanks for sharing your experience OP. Based on how their listings are structured, I'm confident they will have 10-round kits available to ship to us eventually...hopefully sooner rather than later. I wouldn't mind getting a 357SIG kit and a .45 kit.

Thank you for the info. I'm looking forward to a SC 9mm kit and a Carry .45, myself. Currently I have the Carry in 9mm.

I'll be getting a 45 kit when it is offered, not sure if I want the carry or full size yet though. I recently used a 20% discount code to order a small/compact frame for my P320 and some G10 grips for my P226. Shipping was free - direct from Sig is definitely the way to go.

I will register my P320 warranty and get another 20% code as soon as I see those 45 kits offered

PS - it also looks like CARRY and COMPACT use the same upper assembly, just different grip frames and mags. That may be the more versatile way to go.

                          Thanks Ken.

I seldom register my purchases with the manufacturer, but it would be worth it for 20%.

My big thing is to get the FS...what I really wanted, but my LGS only had the 9mm Compact before the end of the year. Can't forget the grip modules either

I can mix-n-match to make a Carry, but that 357SIG would be very tempting too

That's what I'm hearing from SHOT also; they changed their designations: Compact has the shorter slide and frame, the new Carry is the Compact slide with the FS frame,
