I went with the SAS, but all the others were attractive, too. I would've picked up a gaggle but kept finding other pistols I NEEDED. PSA still runs specials on the P938's now and again for $499.

Didn't they have the SAS for $399 last year but would not ship off roster to CA?

I know that same feeling. I picked up a few SSE single stack 9mm pistols and while I don't really need them now, I'm just sitting on them and waiting/hoping to see what outcome there will be for us LA County folks.

Nice pick ups OP. Really liking my SAS. Finally got my free mags from the Summer rebate today. Sig moves like molasses some times.

I only grabbed one. The SAS version. Nice collection. Did you get the 2nd Scorpion for the sole purpose of a later trade/sell?

No I bought a second Scorpion for a few reasons.

1. It was in stock, and the stock was iffy at best near the end of the year, so when a scorpion showed in stock I grabbed it.

2. I was aiming at a second one also because I feel if I carry one its going to get trashed and I would want one that wasn't totally jacked up as time went on.

3. My first Scorpion had a heavy trigger and I was hoping the second one would be better!!

I really wanted a second extreme or equinox, but the timing and availability near year end just didn't allow for that option.

In time if Carry fades out I will either trade off the scorpion for an Equinox, which is an outstandingly beautiful gun with a lot of nice details, or just keep the scorpion and have my kids bury me with it....or trade it off for 10 hi points and some over ripe bananas.

I think the new law states you can't have the 2 of the same name and model so you should sell me one. nice 938 family. It's one of the guns I didn't get a chance to pick up before the end of the year.

If I could have bought one for that I would have. Instead I saw SSE's here for over $700. Ended up with what I could afford, the S&W Shield which I like quite a bit.

Not sure about last year, but I got my FFL to talk them into shipping me the SAS for $499 last month

Oh and it loves 4.6gr of Unique behind 124gr Hornady HP XTP's.... did my work up test fires in the rain this past Sunday

Out of state SSE fees were high. Tax, DROS etc.
Paid way too much. No regrets at all.....

Not worth a separate thread, but I lost a grip screw at the range. Ordered a pack of 4 and found the remaining three on my gun loose as heck. I don't know if this is common, just an FYI. My habit is to tighten things down pretty heavy, but on an alloy frame with steel screws I'm a bit hesitant. Went with some loctite and hope that cures it.

Same here on first trip... lucky just one fell out in my hand.... did the same with blue loctite when i got home

Because of the thin nature of the threaded frame I went with 1mm x 3mm o-rings on the grip screws. They work perfectly giving full engagement in the threaded frame and do not require over tightening to keep tight.
