    Thumb safety version VP9?

Has anyone following the HK VP9 seen any info on a thumb safety version? My wife likes the trigger a lot more than her P30L but we're so used to a thumb safety.

Hope the current version can be converted because that's the one we have.

    Thanks.

All you should ever need is an "index/trigger finger" safety. I don't know of any striker fired pistols with a separate thumb safety.... Anyone???

        M&P 9,40,45 also.

Also I believe the FNH FNS has a safety version also.

FNS, M&P. Also SIG announced LE version of P320 with thumb safety.

Springfield XD can come factory with a manual/thumb safety.

If someone feels more proficient/comfortable with something else, nothing wrong with that.

Doubt it. Also by the time HK come out with a thumb safety version, it is probably too late to SSE it. Unless your wife is an LEO.

Thanks for the support. It's like trying to buy a car with manual transmission.

We got plenty of time, the VP9 is in our safe already.

I'm just hoping HK would come out with one, so someday the parts would be available for a conversion.

Convert the P30 to light LEM and remove the safety

OC firearms can convert Gen 4 glocks. They have one in there show case. I am sure vp9 can be converted as well.

You can add one to any Glock.

                              Personally, I would like a VP9 w/safety---already have P30S w/ambi safety---one of my favorite pistols...
