On Roster Glock 17?- Importing from another state

So I happened to run across a screaming deal on a out of state Glock 17 (model #GL1750203) and I was just wondering if this would fall under the california roster of approved handguns. It meets the length and it is not made in the USA, however my FFL has me wondering if just specific model numbers are CA approved?

It will not be shipped with the 17 rounders, just the GLOCK 17 9MM FS 17RD will be shipped alone from TX to CA.

Any help calguns before I make the final decision? I just dont want to go single shot exemption if I can.

Going by the number it looks to be a Gen 3 so your fine. Have them ship it without a mag. C

It had better be a real screaming deal to purchase a normal rostered G17 with no magazines, pay shipping, pay transfer fees, pay sales tax and then try to hunt down some 10 rounders...

My advice is to buy a G17 on a private party transfer. Locally. No sales tax, no shipping, has magazines already and the paperwork is only $35 bucks.

I'd also be wary of scammers - there are a lot of too good to be true gun deals being advertised on forums, that end up leaving people with nothing but less money in their pocket. Plenty of threads here about it.

These internet criminals are very good at knowing how to play people in a lot of different product markets, and they are doing it with guns now.

Yeah, there's a reputable dealer here in Sacto that sells new G17s for $450, so your deal has to be really good (and legit) to be worthwhile.

I agree. A Gen 3 Glock 17 can be found anywhere and unless it's a screaming deal, it's not worth trouble of buying from out of state without mags. Plus if the deal is too good to be true and not from a reputable seller, I wouldn't touch it.

BTW I believe it's Ron from Armory Outpost that sells a Glock 17 for $450.
