Be aware, that the couple of posts up on the internet about reliability issues with regards to the breach face design and the firing pin are absolutely true.

I got mine a week or so ago and after about 200 rounds or so, the firing pin gouged a little bit of metal into the chamber.

After that, the thing wouldn't feed or extract anymore. I'm still trying to decide if I could just dremel out the burr, as suggested on the internet posting, or if I should send it into sig (also suggested).

Either way, be forewarned that you may have issues if you buy the conversion.

Up until the burr, the conversion ran like a dream though. I put 4 types of 22lr ammo through it (all walmart cheapy brands) and they all ran great.

    FYI for anyone interested.

No. But since the slide doesn't lock back, if you're not paying close attention, you can let the hammer drop on an empty chamber.

It must have happened a couple of times, obviously.

          Threadjack, I know. Sorry.

Anyway, here's a picture of the burr created by the firingpin. It's a bit blurry, but easy enough to see.

I took a dremel to it tonight. I'm heading to the range tomorrow so I'll post whether I had success in repairing the problem or not.

The dremel seems to have done the trick, as far as the bullet being able to slide in and out of the chamber freely. I'm curious to see if the firing pin will cause the problem again or not, or if the polished down divot will be clearanced enough for it.

          We'll see, I guess.

(It was about a 30 second job, all told, for anyone worried about it. It took me longer to get my dremel tool unpacked and ready than to actually polish down the burr. Pretty low stress, even if annoying to deal with).

Seems like they could cut a little relief where the firing pin would hit...

...but then, what would the firing pin squash the rim against?

I just picked one up on Thursday and took it to the range yesterday. About half way through a Federal bulk pack and not a single issue. The group sizes are already shrinking from 3-4" at 10 yards to 2-3" and hopefully tighter as the break in process continues.

I hadn't heard of any issues, but don't at all regret the purchase. I was very pleased with the quality and look forward to taking it out again soon.

Whelp, it's going back to sig. Hopefully they'll send me back a working kit.
