Great price for a great gun. The M65 was the first gun I ever owned. Most of those K-frames were Police guns.

I would jump on that deal!

If the gun is in good condition then that is a good price. They sell for around $400

If it's not on the approved handgun list you are still able to do PPT on it. As I understand it, the list only applies to new purchases and out of state transfers.

If it were me, I'd buy it. It sounds like a decent price, especially for NIB condition.
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...

At that price, pick up everything - You'll get your funds back in the for sale later. Have fun.

if you don't buy it, please put me i touch with him.....that is a really great price. i'm just back from the range today firing for the first time the new-to-me model 19 i picked up in june. as a female revolver shooter, i can say that the k-frame is great for a woman's hand.

I've been looking for a M65 like that for a long while (post buried in the WTB section somewhere); if you're in the Bay Area and pass on the deal, throw me a line.

$300 NIB for that is a really great deal, you should jump on it. I wouldn't think twice about it myself.

Just use 38 Specials - cheaper and easier on your wrist, and less damaging to the gun. 357 ammo "cuts" the top strap by the forcing cone and is generally more punishing; unless you *really* need the power of a 357 round, save wear & tear on your new toy (and money in your pocket) and just shoot 38 out of it. You can get a 500rd can of Miwall 38 reload at the gun shows for less than $100.

I have one 20rd box of premium 357 defense ammo (thanks Ivan!) and thousands of 38; never shoot 357 ammo at all out of any of the 357 revolvers.

Was the Krag not sporterized and in decent shape? If so it is worth much more. I got mine for $40 OTD this year (long story) somewhat worn though and I can't tell if has had the fore end cut or it came that way. I think it is a NRA carbine.

How did I know that rivvie would chime in quickly. He's probably on the phone, sitting on his bike revving it up just in case op passes deal over. Great price!
