    American tactical/Phillipines

Anyone have one of these 45 acp's I am thinking they were made by Armscor but could be wrong. Anyway I have a chance to get one real cheap! I have a Charles Daly version of the RIA and like it alot so this should be on par or maybe a tad better.

Armscor. Related to RIA and a few others.

Really cheap? I'd be on it. Our Filipino friends make some nice 1911s. Just because labor isn't expensive doesn't mean it's not good. How far wrong can ya go?

I have the RIA. Sometimes you get more than you pay for.

I haven't had a chance to try out a Philippines made 1911. But if I find a RIA at the LGS, I wouldn't mind owning one...

I have a rock gi & tac, and find their fitting of frame-slide, barrel-bushing-slide to be as good as any production gun production gun at a couple hundred dollars more.
But their parts are lacking big time.

I bought an Armscor 1911 10 or so years ago. It's not bad. It's not great, either, but it's a decent gun. I even shoot 200gr SWC out of it with no issues.

RI's are "build them to your liking". Customizing, fine tuning the sear, trigger, beaver tail, flush extractor, grips, etc. best bang for your buck. Great gun to learn and understand 1911's also without worrying. But if your like all your guns un modded, there is no better than WC.

$250 OP I would jump on that deal in a quick fast. Owned 2 RIA 1911 very satisfied.

I have one and it's great. No complaints. However, I retired my Colt Series 70 not long ago and I'm putting lotsa lead through my Colt Series 80.

I was looking for a RIA but ended up buying a Citadel. Very pleased with the weapon. Armscor has a real good reputation on their weapons.
