Apex Tactical M&P modified sear block

Curious if anyone has sent their M&P .40 or 9 in to Apex Tactical to have one of their Comp or Duty Carry Actin Enhancement Kits installed? That, or does anyone know for sure that they have the larger 1/8" sear return spring/housing vetsus the smaller 1/16" unit? I'm looking for some detailed dimensions on the hole so I can machine mine to accept the larger spring. If you think you can help me out, let me know.

    Thanks!

I have a modified factory block from Apex, it was optional while having the rest of my work done. I had one gun with it and another that did not have the larger unit.
My opinions are my own and do not represent the position of other companies I may be involved with.

I just got my M&P back from Apex with DCAEK and RAM installed. Their current services listed on their site states:

*Any M&P with a 1/16th diameter sear return spring sent in to our facility for ANY of our services will automatically get a Sear Housing Block Upgrade to accommodate a 1/8th diameter sear return spring for $25.00 at customers expense. No Exceptions.*
As it turned out, my M&P already had the 1/8" sear block housing... it is an Aug 2009 production code, but I did send it back to S&W a few months back for some warranty service, and they gave me a new slide which likely had the larger housing in it.

Instead of sending it to Apex, send it here: http://www.triggerwork.net/SWMP.html

The work will include the Apex hard sear.

oops... yeah, brain fart on my part. lol. was a bit of a hasty reply from the cell phone. sorry about the confusion.

anyhow, my point was i sent my old-ish production code (2009) pistol back for S&W warranty service and besides swapping the slide and striker assembly, they also may have swapped out the sear housing block as well since Apex told me it already had the 1/8" return spring.

if the OP called them, i'm sure they could help him out with the dimensions he needs.

Why do you prefer Springfield, if he is using Apex Parts, to the designers of the parts and changes in the geometry?

Order the new sear housing from http://www.grtactical.com. I had the old sear housing and just replaced it with the updated one. Works fine.

That's what I ended up doing and then just putting the Apex sear and RAM in the new block. Works just fine.

If you call Smith, I'd bet they'll send you a new block for free. Their customer service is the best in the industry. I've had to use about all of them, and they're far and away superior to anyone else.

I don't think he will be touching the APEX sear geometry, just installing it while he works on other trigger related parts.

I was asking, if you're going to mail it anyway, why not just send it to Apex Tactical.
